VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

Our Ministries Department is currently in need of a Volunteer Coordinator to join Central’s team. As Volunteer Coordinator, you will oversee our volunteer process which includes recruiting, integration and retention of all Central volunteers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Oversee the volunteer application process
  • Assimilating volunteers into ministries and first serve process
  • Assist people moving into volunteer leadership roles
  • Help with volunteer celebration events
  • Facilitate Plan to Protect classes or the online equivalent
  • Process all Police Checks (online and in person) including reference checks
  • Data management – input and maintenance
  • Keep accurate records and the filing system up to date
  • Work with all ministry departments to ensure a smooth and unified system
  • Approach the day to day work activities with a flexible and positive attitude
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor

WHO YOU ARE:

  • A person with a minimum 2 year college diploma or equivalent
  • A person with high administrative skills
  • Self-motivated and able to take initiative easily
  • Reliable, dependable and have a strong work ethic
  • A person who demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills
  • A person who has a working knowledge of Mac, Microsoft Word and Excel

CENTRALKIDS PRESCHOOL ASSISTANT [Sundays]

Our Ministries Department is currently in need of a Preschool Assistant (CentralKids on Sundays). As Preschool Assistant, you will oversee our Nursery and Kids ages 2 – 3years.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Responsible for the care of the children in an assistant capacity
  • Assist in preparing curriculum for 2 & 3 year old classes
  • Assist in room set-up and tear-down
  • Ensure that all toys are cleaned monthly
  • Assist in keeping the room organized, tidy and adequately stocked
  • Assess the room layout for effectiveness and efficiency
  • Primary contact for parents
  • Hall Monitor to provide stability for parents and children during drop off and pick up (alternating between 1 and 2 experiences)
  • Facilitate KidsJam in conjunction with CYM
  • Approach the day to day work activities with a flexible and positive attitude
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your Supervisor
