VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

Our Ministries Department is currently in need of a Volunteer Coordinator to join Central’s team. As Volunteer Coordinator, you will oversee our volunteer process which includes recruiting, integration and retention of all Central volunteers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Oversee the volunteer application process
  • Assimilating volunteers into ministries and first serve process
  • Assist people moving into volunteer leadership roles
  • Help with volunteer celebration events
  • Facilitate Plan to Protect classes or the online equivalent
  • Process all Police Checks (online and in person) including reference checks
  • Data management – input and maintenance
  • Keep accurate records and the filing system up to date
  • Work with all ministry departments to ensure a smooth and unified system
  • Approach the day to day work activities with a flexible and positive attitude
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor

WHO YOU ARE:

  • A person with a minimum 2 year college diploma or equivalent
  • A person with high administrative skills
  • Self-motivated and able to take initiative easily
  • Reliable, dependable and have a strong work ethic
  • A person who demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills
  • A person who has a working knowledge of Mac, Microsoft Word and Excel

PRESCHOOL CENTRAL DIRECTOR

PreSchool Central is currently in need of a Director for our Preschool and Toddler program that cares for children ages 18 months to 5 years old. As a PreSchool Director, you will be a part of providing a quality, Christian-based program that will help shape and impact the early learning of children.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Ensure program meets Ministry of Education and Public Health Requirements
  • Implement and create policies and procedures
  • Annual renewal of license
  • Communicate with Program Advisor
  • Maintain children’s records (registration, health forms, immunization records, incident reports)
  • Responsible for Niagara Region Contact – annual grant budget, wage enhancement, year-end report, subsidy monthly reporting
  • Ensure QCCN – monthly report, DPSs completion, staff training. ECERS & ITERS
  • Communication with parents
  • Maintain staff files to ensure that they are complete and current (CPR training, VSC, immunizations, policies and procedure reviews, ECE)
  • Oversee all staff, scheduling and classroom monitoring
  • Teaching/caring for children as scheduled
  • Support curriculum development process
  • Attend staff and department meetings
  • Complete purchase orders (PO’s)
  • Utilize Church Community Builder (CCB) to book additional resources or rooms as needed
  • Liaise between PreSchool Central and all Central Staff

WHO YOU ARE:

  • ECE certification is required
  • A person who loves working with children 18 months to 5 years old
  • Self-motivated and able to take initiative easily.
  • Reliable, dependable, and have a strong work ethic
  • A person who demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect both with the children and their parents and other PreSchool staff
  • Able to apply Christian based principles to the curriculum
  • A person who has a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  • A person who has a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

PRESCHOOL CENTRAL ASSISTANT & PRESCHOOL CENTRAL SUPPLY [2 Positions]

We are currently in need of two dynamic, passionate and qualified individuals to assist with our Preschool and/or Toddler program for children ages 18 months to 5 years old. As a PreSchool Central Assistant or Supply Teacher, you will be a part of providing a quality, Christian-based program that will help shape and impact the early learning of children.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Ensure that children receive the best care in a licensed preschool and/or toddler program, operating Mon-Fri, 9am-12 noon
  • Work closely with the Preschool Supervisor
  • Ensure that room and toys are clean and ready for next day
  • Help with daily operations of program (snack and craft preparation)
  • Be available to help with preparations outside of classroom time
  • Assist with classroom layout and organization

WHO YOU ARE:

  • A person who loves working with children 18 months to 5 years old
  • Self-motivated and able to take initiative easily
  • Reliable, dependable, and have a strong work ethic
  • A person who demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children, parents and other Preschool staff
  • Able to apply Christian-based principles to the curriculum
  • A person who has a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  • A person who has a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • A person who is an RECE is an asset
