Assistant Pastor – Area Pastor & Women Demographic | Full Time

The Ministry department is a vibrant and growing area within our organization. We are currently in need of a dynamic, passionate and qualified individual to lead people into a life that matters by serving as an Assistant Pastor serving the women of Central and as the area pastor for Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

  • As an Assistant Pastor, you serve the entire Church Community and can be asked to function in that role in a variety of contexts. In particular, you oversee Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake as primary care and group pastor that includes the following functions:
    • Groups: You oversee the development of all groups in this region
    • Care: Includes visitation, prayer, preliminary counselling, and referring to external support services in alignment with our Care System
    • Mission: Promoting our mission system in your region
    • Leadership: You will grow leaders in alignment with our leadership system
  • As an Assistant Pastor, you have particular focus in helping serve women in our community
    • Pastoral Counselling: providing primary intake care to women in our church
  • Partnering
    • Work with all Ministry Department team members to collectively serve the Ministry department
    • Work with Volunteers/Sub-contractors
  • Approach the day to day work activities with a flexible and positive attitude.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by your reporting manager.

WHO ARE YOU:

  • A person who has a Bible College degree.
  • A person who has an affiliation with a Canadian Evangelical group.
  • A person with at least five years’ pastoral experience.
  • A person that is currently pastoring at least 200 people.
  • Self-motivated and able to take initiative easily.
  • Reliable, dependable, and have a strong work ethic.
  • A person who demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A person who has a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
  • A person who has a working knowledge of Mac, Microsoft Word and Excel.

Digital Engagement Coordinator | Full Time

We are currently in need of a Digital Engagement Coordinator (DEC), who will coordinate and execute all of Central’s digital communications plan through 3 focuses: Content Creation, Online Engagement, and Analytics. The DEC will be our ambassador for creating digital engagement (build brand awareness, advertising, marketing, e-commerce, email, all social channels, church online, all live streaming, website, leveraging youtube, donor engagement, and blog posts).

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

     Content Creation & Management:

  • Edit and leverage weekend content into micro content for social, web, and online experiences
  • Website Maintenance: Update and refresh web page content, guide future site architecture development and work with IT partners to troubleshoot and resolve technical concerns
  • Social Channels: Work in partnership with graphic designer to maintain a flow between social channels with the goal of maximum engagement across all channels
  • Draft and deliver email communication to Central’s local and extended community. Build email templates and deploy campaigns using MailChimp email tool (using personalization and segmentation)
  • Content Management: Create, post, monitor and modify content to website and social media platforms to maximize engagement and enhance the user experience

     Online Engagement:

  • Maintain consistent and optimized SEO messaging plan across all channels
  • Manage Q&A and social conversations
  • Manage website Live Chat
  • Manage church online backend

     Analytics:

  • Leverage and understand analytics, trends, funnels, marketing and untapped attention to bolster brand awareness and to elevate engagement across all online activity
  • Create and execute digital goals and targets on how to spend marketing dollars in order to maximize online engagement on all relevant Channels
  • Monthly reporting on online engagement across all channels
  • Use Google analytics and any other means necessary to measure and track site, campaign and e-commerce performance and conversion rates
  • Proven ability to manage and understand large quantities of data and/or statistics

WHO ARE YOU:

  • Three years of digital experience working in marketing or advertising. Corporate experience and relevant post-secondary education are an asset
  • Excellent writing, copy and persuasive communication skills; strong design eye
  • A creative thinker and innovative in ways to reach new audiences
  • Knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Google Analytics essential
  • Experience using, WordPress, MailChimp (or similar), video editing essential
  • A proven understanding of SEO and Google Analytics
  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, HTML and digital media production and database management systems
  • Strong project management, organization and time-management skills
  • Proven ability and flexibility to manage multiple deadlines and reset priorities as needed

Baby Sitting | 8 weeks Contract position – Friday mornings

We are currently in need of a dynamic, passionate and qualified individual who would be responsible for supervising and caring for children typically ages 0-5 years old by welcoming children, leading activities and ensuring that children behave well when in contact with other children.  An individual who can maintain a safe and clean play environment and able to supervise their team.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

  • Supervise and monitor the safety of children in their care.
  • Help children keep good hygiene.
  • Organize activities for the children.
  • Support children’s emotional and social development.
  • Play on the floor with children.
  • Lift and carry small children.
  • Change children’s diapers when necessary.

WHO ARE YOU:

  • A person who has a current experience in child development or early childhood education preferred.
  • A person who is patient and has flexibility with children.
  • A person with the ability to lead and supervise a team of volunteers.
  • Strong communication skills (with parents and Ministry leaders).
  • Certificate in first aid and CPR, an asset.
